Unlike other photographers I don’t expect you to be ready the day of your shoot. You will prepare your outfits, makeup, location and all of that but sometimes when the camera is in your face you don’t feel ready. It is my obligation to you to help you understand the process of a photoshoot and just how natural it can feel. I guide my clients through the experience, especially males who get uncomfortable. As a session progresses I tend to see people get more and more relaxed as that is my goal and the photos never fail to prove that. 

There is a reason I like to shoot as the sun is setting. My favorite moment of my couples shoots is getting the opportunity to shoot a photo of my couple’s foreheads touching with the rays of sun piercing through the photograph behind them. It is always the most beautiful thing.  In my couples shoots I use the technique of having them do something goofy together. It can start out a little awkward like staring into eachother's eyes or holding a dumb pose but my intention is what comes a few moments after. You always see one of them break character and let a contagious laugh through. This gives me the chance to quickly snap a photo of genuine laughter and love.
